A 10x10 covers 100 square feet — the standard vendor booth footprint at almost every market, festival and expo in the country. That is not a coincidence; the size exists because event organisers sell space in 10x10 increments.

What fits under a 10x10

Buy in multiples. Operators who serve farmers markets and festivals tend to keep a stack of 10x10s rather than one larger tent, because organisers assign space in single booths and adjacent booths can be tented separately.

The weights question

A 10x10 is the size most likely to be pitched on asphalt where staking is impossible, and the size most likely to become airborne because someone skipped ballast. Frame vs pop-up

Commercial frame tents at this size are built for repeated install-and-strike cycles and hold up in a rental fleet. Pop-up canopies go up in minutes with one person and fold into a bag, which is why market vendors buy them — but they are a different class of product with a shorter service life under commercial use. Both have a legitimate place; buy the one that matches how often it goes up.
