15x15 Tents

A 15x15 covers 225 square feet — more than twice a 10x10, still under the permit threshold in most jurisdictions. It is the largest square tent you can usually put up without paperwork, which is the whole argument for it.

What fits under a 15x15

The square footprint matters. At 15x15 you can seat two rounds facing each other rather than in a line, which reads as a room instead of a corridor — the difference between this and a 10x20 of similar area.

Where this size earns its keep

Backyard and residential events where a 20x20 would swallow the lawn. Satellite tents at larger events — a bar, a dessert station, a kids’ area — set apart from the main structure. And church and community groups who need shelter for a small gathering without a permitting process.

Which series to choose

Every 15x15 we carry is clear-span, so no series puts a pole in your 225 square feet. The differences are frame gauge, top weight and roofline: Classic and West Coast frame for straightforward shelter, high peak and gable when the tent is part of the look, pole for the traditional profile at lower cost.
