Beyond Tent's technical team stocks this 8-way crown as a direct replacement fitting for the peak of square Classic Frame tent systems β the sizes that need more than a simple 4-way or 6-way crown to tie the roofline together. It's the central hub where every rafter and spreader running to the peak converges, so it's carrying more of the frame's load than almost any other single fitting.
Fits standard West Coast style frames from most major manufacturers.
Larger square frame tents β 20'x20', 30'x30', 40'x40', and similar configurations β need eight separate connection points at the peak instead of four or six, four running down to the corner fittings and four out to the side tee fittings at each perimeter midpoint. If this crown is worn, bent, or missing, the whole roofline loses its reference point, and misalignment at the peak shows up as sag or uneven tension all the way down each rafter.

Build and pin the four corner-to-crown rafter connections first, then bring in the four side tee connections β trying to seat all eight at once makes it much harder to tell which connection is fighting the alignment. Keep the crown supported until at least three of the eight arms are pinned, since it has no independent footing of its own until the rafters are locked in.
