3-Way Crown Fitting for West Coast Style Frame Tents
Beyond Tent's technical team stocks this 3-way crown for smaller West Coast style frame tents — 8', 10', 12', and 15' wide runs. Used in pairs at each end of the tent, it connects two angled rafters and one horizontal spreader to form the roof's ridge structure, so replacing a worn crown here restores the tent's shape and tension across the full canopy.

Why This Crown Matters
On smaller rectangular frame tents, the two 3-way crowns at each end set the geometry for the entire ridge line. If one crown is bent or the wrong size, the ridge won't run straight and the canopy tensions unevenly, which shows up as wrinkles or slack fabric even when the rest of the frame is correctly assembled. A matched pair of properly sized crowns keeps the ridge true from end to end.

Installation Notes from Our Install Crews
Replace crowns in matched pairs when possible — mixing an old, worn crown with a new one at opposite ends of the ridge can leave a subtle twist in the roofline that's hard to diagnose later. Position the angled protrusions toward the tent corners before pinning the rafters, then connect the spreader between the two crowns last.
