Where It Fits in the Frame
On a West Coast style frame, the ridge crown sits along the centerline, linking ridge spreader tubing between 3-way or 6-way crown fittings. Its angled arms also tie into the side tee fittings around the perimeter, spreading load evenly instead of concentrating it at a single joint. A worn or bent crown is one of the more common reasons a long tent run starts to sag or rack out of square — this part corrects that.

Installation Notes from Our Install Crews
Dry-fit the crown between its two crown fittings before pinning — galvanized fittings can vary a few thousandths from batch to batch, and a dry-fit catches misalignment before it becomes a rigging headache mid-setup. Pin both ridge connections first, then bring in the side tee connections last so the frame has one square reference point to true up against.
