The BeyondTent 8'x10' Classic Series West Coast Frame Tent delivers 80 square feet of fully clear-span covered space — no center poles, no interior obstructions across the entire 8'x10' footprint. Built from 16 oz / 540 gsm PVC coated polyester blockout vinyl and NFPA 701 certified with a permanently attached label, this tent is engineered for rental operators and event professionals who need a compact commercial unit that clears every fire marshal inspection and holds up through hundreds of rental cycles. The 8'x10' adds 16 sq ft of depth versus the 8'x8' — enough to run a vendor station with a full prep table behind the counter or fit a pair of 6-foot banquet tables side by side.

The same West Coast frame architecture that powers the entire BeyondTent lineup: 2" anodized aluminum pipes and fittings, internal perimeter rope sidewall system, fail-safe R-pin and pin & bail hardware, and universal component compatibility across the entire 8-wide series. Stake into grass or ballast onto concrete — any surface, any venue, same tent. Beyond Tent supplies commercial-grade tents exclusively to rental operators and event professionals.

  • 16 oz / 540 gsm PVC coated polyester — waterproof, UV resistant, mold and mildew resistant

Frequently Asked Questions: 8'x10' Classic Series West Coast Frame Tent

1) Is this tent NFPA 701 fire-rated?
Yes. NFPA 701 certified with permanently attached label sewn into the tent top. Required for permitted public events at parks, fairgrounds, parking lots, and school campuses where a fire marshal must approve tents before the event opens. The attached label allows on-site verification without paperwork from the operator.
2) Can it be installed on concrete or asphalt?
Yes. Use concrete ballast blocks or water-filled weight bags at each leg. No modifications to the tent required. The leg bases accept the same ratchet assembly hardware whether staking or ballasting. See the Beyond Tent Ballasting Guide (download above) for weight requirements based on local wind conditions.
3) How many people does it take to set up?
2 persons minimum. Build the roof skeleton flat on the ground, attach the canopy top, then lift the assembled roof onto the perimeter legs. Setup takes Approx 15–30 minutes for an experienced crew. Never attempt single-person installation — the roof requires two people to lift safely.
4) Does it have interior center poles?
No. The entire 80 sq ft is completely clear — no center poles, no guy wires, no interior obstructions. Every inch of covered space is usable for tables, equipment, or guests without working around a pole.
5) What eave height should I choose — 7 ft or 8 ft?
7 ft eave is the standard option and works for most vendor and concession setups. Choose 8 ft if the tent will house taller signage, equipment racks, or displays that need additional headroom. The 8 ft eave raises the overall peak to 10 ft. Both options use the same tent top — only the leg poles change.
6) What sidewall options are available?
Three options: No Sidewalls (open on all four sides), Premium Solid White (fully enclosed), or Premium Cathedral Window (alternating solid and clear panels). All sidewalls attach via the internal perimeter rope system sewn into the tent top — no Velcro, no clips that fail in wind.
7) What is the longest single component?
9 ft 4 in. This is longer than a standard pickup truck bed and will require a cargo van, flatbed, or small trailer for most operators. Plan transport accordingly before your first delivery. The component is a roof rafter spanning the 10 ft length of the tent.
8) What does "16 oz blockout vinyl" mean?
16 oz per square yard — nearly twice the weight of consumer event canopy fabric (typically 8–10 oz). Thicker, more tear-resistant, and more abrasion-resistant. "Blockout" means opaque — it blocks 95%+ UV and keeps the interior substantially cooler than semi-translucent fabric. The commercial standard for rental tent fleets operating at high volume.
9) How does it ship?
LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight only. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment — someone must be present to receive and sign. Ships in 1–3 business days; transit is typically 5–10 business days. Arrives on a pallet. Liftgate service available through the carrier upon request.
10) What is the difference between 36" and 42" stakes?
42" stakes provide deeper ground penetration and are recommended for soft or sandy soil, events with higher anticipated winds, or long-term installations. 36" stakes are sufficient for most single-day events on standard grass. When in doubt, choose 42" — the additional penetration adds meaningful anchor security at minimal extra cost.
11) Are replacement parts available?
Yes. The 2" West Coast aluminum system uses industry-standard components available through Beyond Tent. Email sales@beyondtent.com with a description or photo of the needed part and we'll source the correct component.
12) What is the warranty?
1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. Limitations apply — review the Product Manual for full terms. Contact sales@beyondtent.com or call 866-296-3868 for warranty claims.
